Scientific research for sustainable agriculture

We are researchers from Ferrara University (Italy), working for more sustainable agriculture, that needs to be capable at the same time, of sustaining productive demand.

In a scenario where the global population is increasing, our relationship with nature needs to be rethought, and the positive results of research activity have to be efficiently transferred into the economic and cultural framework.

What do we do

“Essentially, all life depends upon the soil ... There can be no life without soil and no soil without life; they have evolved together.” - Charles E. Kellogg

We develop and apply zeolite technologies for agricultural purposes. Natural zeolites are a group of minerals with high cation exchange capacity, reversible dehydration property and molecular sieve. These unique features make them useful for many applications in sustainable agriculture.
We have successfully applied zeolites in important Italian and European research projects, involving both the public and private sectors.

Our projects

Research, communication, networking

We are involved in many local and international research projects to find solutions for the main agricultural challenges of today. Besides collaborations with other Universities and research organizations, we work in direct contact with the productive sector, such as industries and farms.
